Artist Statement
For me, art is more than a profession; it is a vital rhythm. My creative journey is a tale woven from two worlds: the vibrant, soulful, and colorful language of my Peruvian heritage and the luminous coastal light of Florida. My work exists in that sophisticated space where tactile depth meets fluid expression—a signature style refined through decades of dedicated studio practice.
My hands first learned the language of form through the study of sculpture at the Lima Art Museum (MALI). This foundation forever changed how I perceive volume; it is the reason my high-relief paintings possess a "touchable" soul. Today, I don’t simply apply pigment; I sculpt light and emotion directly onto the canvas. Whether I am capturing the delicate architecture of a petal or the rugged spirit of a landscape, I bring structural discipline to every stroke.
While my creative drive is my essence, my vitality is fueled by the life I’ve built. My two sons are my greatest pride and the bedrock of my resilience, while the quiet companionship of my dog, Bolita, provides the daily harmony I need to create.
Informed by a lifelong appreciation for refined aesthetics, I view each canvas as a bespoke masterpiece: joyful, elegant, and vibrant. To preserve the integrity and exclusivity of my practice, I create only original works—no reproductions or prints. MEET PATRICIA
Artist Biography
For Patricia Edelman, the canvas is a space of physical transformation. A professional artist based in Florida, Patricia creates acrylic works that capture the intersection of her Peruvian roots and the coastal landscapes she now calls home.
Her journey began with formal training at the Lima Art Museum (MALI), where she developed the artistic discipline that remains the heartbeat of her work today. By merging the weight of sculpture with the fluidity of acrylics, Patricia creates "living" textures—ranging from commanding high-relief forms to subtle, refined surfaces that possess a rhythmic energy. Her work is defined by this intentionality; a harmony where color and form achieve a perfect, joyful balance.
